French and Indian war

I heard about the war. It sounds butal. All of those men dieing. Steve talks of his brother dieing in the battle of Quebec. In wich us British won yet we lost my brother-in-law. We did win the war but now all these dumb rules we can't expand the great land past the Appilachitions. Altleast now we gots Florida to trade with.

Conflicts Arise

I feal as though a war is brewing. Up north those Frnech are being snobs and taking our rightful land. If there is a war I pray Steve would not participate. The government is oh so messed up right now one of the few things going our way right now is the great heroic George Washington. He was the forst to strike at the French. This Albany Plan of Union does not sound plesant. I don't want to be a part of those prissy boys up North. I just liked the government the way it used to be.

My Culture

We are so great full a new church has been built in our town. There is also rumors that Jonathan Edwards may come and preach at the grand opening of the new church next week! Oh me and Steve are so excited! Poor Steve Jr. One day I hope Steve becomes a great inventer like Ben Franklin up north. If he ever ran for govener I'd make sure all of my friends would vote for him. However I can not vote, but I'd go around telling everyone to vote for Steve Jr.

I hear there is some comotion going on back where Steve's grandmother was born. Way across the big lake. I ask Steve about it but he just tells me not to worry. Howevery I do know Steve is mad that we can only sell our crops to England and no one else. We also can only use their ships and they are awfully expensive. I hope Steve and I can figure out how to make more money or else we may have to sell some of our slaves.

All About me

Hello my name is Amelia Rottinghouse. I am a 31 year old married mother. I am married to Steve Rottinghouse we live in Georgia on our plantation. We have 1 child Steve Jr. he is 13. We are considered wealthy, we own 10 slaves and have many acres of land. I spend most of my days in out large house making meals for my son and husband. I have one slave that helps me clean the house her name is Quashira. She helps me clean the house but she never touches the food we dont want the slave messing it up.


We teach Steve Jr. to stay away from the slaves. One day when his daddy is dead he will take over the plantation. I teach him not to let the blacks touch anything. I don't even allow the slaves to look at Steve Jr. Steve Jr. will grow up to be a great man just like his daddy.
